PreViS, short for Prehospital Video i Samverkan (Prehospital Video in Collaboration), is an Interreg project with the purpose to develop the collaboration between the public health care sector and the industry and academia to promote the use of video technology. The project is run by PICTA, Sykehuset Innlandet and HelseINN. The goal of the project is that it shall contribute to scientific research, technical development and innovation within video technology within prehospital care. In this way as many people as possible shall receive the best care where they are. This knowledge base is a part of that project and wishes to collect all current research within the area to make use of that for future technological developments and innovations.

Welcome to a knowledge base about video technology within the prehospital emergency care. It was created by PICTA as a part of the PreViS-project. You can read more about PICTA and PreViS in the posts “About PICTA” and “About PreViS”.

About PICTA
PICTA is a Prehospital Innovation Arena and is a part of Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg, Sweden. The arena runs several projects together with around 30 different collaboration organizations within health care and the industry to ensure that e-health and IT is used in the best possible way within prehospital care.
The knowledge base – categories
The knowledge base was created by a systematic review of video technology within prehospital emergency care in different communication channels. The search scope reaches from the year 2000 until today. The articles in the knowledge base have been divided into the following categories based on the communication channel where they were published.
Research articles: Published research articles in research databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar are presented here.
News, Media & Interviews: News about the subject presented in papers and EMS magazines are listed here.
Clinical Trials: The aim and study design of finished and ongoing clinical trials are presented in these articles.
