“VIDEOKOMMUNIKATION FRÅN AMBULANS VID MISSTÄNKT STROKE”
About: Article about the ViPHS project where the first step is to simulate video support from the ambulance to make it possible for the paramedics to contact a neurologist and together assess the state of the stroke patients. The project is a cooperation between PICTA and the Regional Stroke counsel in Västra Götalandsregionen, Sweden.

“Exploring gender differences in perceptions of 3D telepresence collaboration technology: an example from emergency medical care”
About: A paper which explores if there are any differences between the genders when it comes to the study “Exploring the potential of video technologies for collaboration in emergency medical care”. The result was that the 3D technology offered male paramedics more often a feeling of good self-efficacy which could lead to a better job-performance for males in the future.

“Remote 3D Medical Consultation”
About: A study that explores the possibility of remote 3D medical consultation where remote paramedics could contact in-hospital staff. It is suggested that 3D would bring an extra feeling of self-efficacy for the paramedics and for the doctors a feeling of actually being at the scene of the emergency and thereby the diagnosis support could be improved.
